Question: Homosexuality in Hip-Hop!?
By no means am I homophobic or hate gay people!. But I'm an emcee and when I battle I use gay jokes pretty much all the time!. But is it really acceptable to be gay and be Hip-Hop!? Can an emcee be gay!? Or even a DJ or B-Boy!? B-Boys may get cut more slack because really it's kinda hard to tell unless they dance pretty feminine!.!.!. which is not a good look for a battle 'cause it's just not HARD!. I want some honest opinions!. Because I believe it's just not possible!. If a female emcee battles of course they have to come hard!.!. but most certain they'll be called a dike, impersonating a man etc etc!. I honestly believe that you just can't be gay and do this!.!.!. at least if you're a male!.!.!. maybe a female can get away with it!. But not a male!. So my answer is NO!. It can be acceptable to be gay in Hip Hop but the culture does not allow it!. Hip Hop is the most singularly homophobic genre of music artistically and business-wise!. You will find more gay DJ's but they're not out about it!. You can be gay though and do it!. You just won't find any emcees who will admit to it!. Not all gay guys are feminine acting!. People meet gay people all the time and never know it!. So basically yes gay people can rap they just won't be out about it!. Just ask Queen Latifah or Fifty Cent!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think the Hip Hop scene is largely homophobic mainstream obviously and also underground!. couldnt imagine a homosexual MC or breaker prancing around feeling all fabolous!.!.!. its maybe not just as obvious as in e!.g!. modern dancehall!.

Lyk many ppl look down on gay ppl and i can tell u a whole list of ppl who will jump a person for being gay or bi and this is y i think that a gay MC will not be popular or famous b y a straight audience!.
