Question: Is it clever to be like this!?
To act all high and mighty on people because of their music tastes!? I read so many comments from people 'answering' peoples questions with abuse for listening to music on the 'itunes top ten list' and etc!. I mean, does it occur to you that people might listen to music because they like it, rather than it's chart position!?
People get too caught up in the image of their music and the 'must listen to music that nobody's heard of' attitude sometimes, like it makes them a better person or something!.
It's just as valid to listen to listen to bands that might be seen as 'scene' or 'trendy' as it is to listen to the bands that make you feel you're individual - music's there to be enjoyed!. Right!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

While good music is highly (but not completely) subjective, and you should listen to what you enjoy, I don't think it's so bad to be a music snob!.
There are lots of things you can be an elitist or a snob about, and in my opinion, music is probably the most okay!. Music snobs can be annoying, but they're harmless!. And anyone who has watched High Fidelity knows they can be damned funny as well!.

I hate it when people make fun of people for there music tastes!. I like what I like and don't car what other people think!. I'll admit that I've bashed bands here before, but I've never insulted the actual person that likes them because I know that not everyone will like the same music as me!.

Well said!. You should be able to listen to whatever you want to listen to without being labelled or insulted for your music taste!. That's why it's called "taste", it's individual to each person, there's no right or wrong way to like music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I hate when I ask questions like "What do you think of this band!?" And that band will be one that I have noticed to be very very good!. Then I get answers like "They suck, Get better musical taste" I hate that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You're exactly right!. I'm guilty of saying that most chart music is crap, but I don't give people grief about it (unless it's Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus)!. If that's what they want to listen to, go them! But I do try to introduce as many people as possible to the less mainstream artists!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
