I have to do like an essay on why i think hip hop is poetry and this is what i got so far!.!.!.!.!.(lemme know if tupac is a hip hop pioneer)
I consider rap to be poetry!. the word rap itself means "rhythm and poetry"!. Most rap artists write about things they went through in their life, materialistic things etc!.

Tupac is and will always be the best pioneer of rap music!. Tupac spoke from his mind and heart and never lied about the truth! Rap and Hip Hop are lyrical extensions of the soul!. Poetry is made to capture the mind and take it thru a journey of the topic being spoken of!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i think TUPAC was a pioneer, in the sense, that hes really the first Rap artist that manuevered his way into MAINSTREAM , very strongly!.!.a lthough!.!. i do believe a majority of his "mainstream" popularity didnt come until after he passed, so Im not sure if that still countsWww@Enter-QA@Com
If you consider birthing tons of so-called artist whom just used him as a template to create their own brand of music centered around themes he created, then in that regard…yes, but otherwise no, Pac did not do anything overly relevant or set any standards that are still employed today!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
With his style of rapping, yes!. Other than that, it would be a debate!. Tupac is a wonderful lyricist!. Believe it or not some of his songs bring tears to my eyes because you can picture what he's saying, very deep!. Good luck on that essay!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
