Answers:
Guns N' Roses obviously, Guns N' Roses was created in 1985 and immediately they were successful, even if Nirvana was created in 1987 is not until 1991 that they began being successful, Nirvana's debut album was not a success, and also in my opinion Nirvana begin being successful not because their talent, instead of that because people were tired of glam metal, better said MTV was tired of Glam Metal, also if you ask a person who haven't heard much about both bands, would say they know more about Guns N' Roses, what most people know about Nirvana is their album Nevermind and their successful song Smells Like Teen Spirit!. Guns N' Roses have been more successful!.

Edit: Guys, don't be so narrow minded, just because you were born these days or either you prefer Nirvana than Guns N' Roses doesn't mean you have to bash the Guns N' Roses, you're being biased, despite all these love you have to Nirvana, no doubt Guns N' Roses were more successful, if you were born in the 80s you would know about that, hey you even don't have to be born to know that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Imo I think Guns and Roses was the next natural progression which lead to Nirvana and the Grunge revolution!. Right before GnR came out,all the popular music was hair bands with sappy lyrics and flash in the pan guitar riffs!. GnR came out and changed that!. Now,instead of hair bands we have bands like LA Guns, Junkyard which offered a harder edge to their music!.From there, the natural progression would be Nirvana!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

nirvana definately, they inspired a new generation of musos to pick their guitars etc and just play, no pretensions like the gunners, they were just another hard rock band, nirvana were a once in a generation musical movement like punk, it didn't matter what you looked like, sounded like, it was all ok in grunge (and punk)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i think nirvana did!. guns n roses didn't really lead a totally new and different genre of music!. everyone pretty much thinks that nirvana ruled grunge, and i think they deserve a lot of credit for what they did!. i'm not a big fan, but i think they've changed music in a good way!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

who had the bigger impact, well on the mainstream music it was definately Nirvana, they changed the whole scene , but were definately not the saviours of rock and roll, gnr were great because they took rock back to a zeppelin esque sound!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Nirvana had a waaaayyyyyyyyy , i mean way bigger impact on music than guns n roses!.!.!.!.!.!. gnr actually had no impact on rock, they werent even a good metal band, just the mtv crap!.!.!.!.!.!. Cobains music almost killed a lot of other music genres out there!.!.!.!. this coming from a REAL metal fan, not crap like gnrWww@Enter-QA@Com

GUNS N ROSES!!!!

nirvana was good, but!.!.!. they didnt rly have too much of an impact!. gnr all the way

Guns N' Roses because they were the band that took rock to where it should be in the 1980's!. (good lyrics with good guitar riffs and solos) Nirvana sucks and helped create one of the worst genres of rock (Grunge)Www@Enter-QA@Com

of course guns n roses!.
At a time when pop was dominated by dance music and pop-metal, Guns N' Roses brought raw, ugly rock roll crashing back into the charts!.There hadn't been a hard rock band this raw or talented in years!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Nirvana basically killed the power ballad bands overnight!. Now everybody is singing songs about self doubt and self hate!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

definatly guns n roses, they kept clasics like " live and let die" alive and made new classics on top of that!. id like to see Nirvana beat "welcome to the jungle" or "sweet child o mine"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

um nirvana i think
but i'm not just saying it because
i like them betterr i actually like guns n' roses better!.!.!.so yea nirvanaWww@Enter-QA@Com

Well, Appetite for Destruction was big in the 80's, and Nevermind was big in the 90's!.

But Nirvana did invent grunge!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

nirvana and it's not even close!.!.!.gnr was just another metal band, nirvana brought a new generation and a new genre to the music sceneWww@Enter-QA@Com
