Best album (so far) of 2008... within certain categories.?!

I would like to know what you think is the best album, so far, of 2008, and also, if possible, a comment about why!. The question applies to all musical genres, though I am less interested in the following: rap (unless it is of the caliber of Aesop Rock or The Roots), classical (nothing too loud and no opera please)!. also not really interested in very well-known and often-played pop, very well-known and often-played country!. also not interested in anything like Marilyn Manson!.
I suppose it would be good to say the realms of music that I AM interested in, but they are many and varied, so please don't be shy!.!.!.!. Let's hear it!Www@Enter-QA@Com
