here's my personal review i did yesterday
Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III was easily one of the most anticipated albums of the year, face it, even if you’re a hater you wanted to hear it!. Track 1 “3 Peat” is Wayne welcoming himself back to the rap game with his next studio album, a good intro to the entire work!. The singles, ‘Lollipop’, ‘A Millie’, and ‘Got Money’ did not do C3 any justice in terms of what to expect!. I wasn’t expecting much after listening to those, but 2nd song on the album “Mr!. Carter” ft!. Jay-z is just crazy, from the hook to the lyrics!. Lil Wayne fills his bars with punchlines of plenty, and Jay-z steals the show with the 3rd verse as it seems he is passing the torch “Im right chea in my chair wit my crown and my dear/Queen B as I share, my time with my heir/Young Carter, go farther, go further, go harder/is that not why we came, and if not why bother!?” and later on “Now my names being mentioned with the martyrs/The Biggies’ and The Pacs’ and the Marleys’ and The Marcus’ ”!. Kanye West produced several songs on the album including; Comfortable ft!. Babyface, Tie My Hands ft!. Robin Thicke, Let The Beat Build, and Shoot me Down!. Another standout track from the album was “Dr!. Carter” produced by Swizz Beats, in which Lil Wayne raps as a doctor healing different patients with rap-related “illnesses”!. I think if you were expecting a 5 mic instant classic from the self-proclaimed “best rapper alive” he doesn’t necessarily deliver that, but what he does bring is a very good album!. This Album was a 9/10 at worst!.!. Im not a Extreme Wayne Fan but this albums production was impeccable!.!.If u haven't Heard it go to http://youtube!.com/user/DaCarta3 and listen to it!. The only questionable song is la la la!.!.!. The Robin Thicke song is one of the best i heard in years from anybody!.!.
