I have never played guitar before!. but I want to learn to play a Country song for a school project!. (on the sound dissonances in country music for my music class)

You don't need to know all the cords!. but you do need to know the ones in the song that you want to play!. Go to the music store and have someone there show it to you on guitar, and see if it is too difficult for you to play or not!. Then, practise like crazy!
