Been a DJ since the age of 10 (before "Rapper's Delight"), rapper since the age of 11 (shortly after "Rapper's Delight", learned by NYC relatives, rap wasn't in my area yet)!. Now I'm 40+!. Still very much a hip-hop fan but before the year 2000 artists and music!.
Been to 1 NYC rap concert (LL Cool J, Whodini, BDP right before Scott La Rock was killed, etc!.) and 2 at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale,NY (Long Island), (Run-DMC, Doug E!. Fresh, Kool Moe Dee, Eric B!. Rakim, The Juice Crew, etc!.)!.
Used to wear Kangols (like LL and Shan) and TROOP suits (before that rumor)!.
Used to rap on school buses and street corners with other kid MC's my age at that time, and was DJ at my h!.s!. radio station mixing and cuttin' & scratchin' (until my station manger told me to stop damaging his needles)!. Recording rap tapes and mix tapes!.

In 1987, I was nine years old!. This older kid I knew gave me a bunch of 45s!. Most of them were R&B but one was called "I'm Bad" by this dude who called himself LL Cool J!. I had heard rap music before but this was the first time that I was able to listen to a song over and over again!. It fascinated me: this guy was bragging about how great he was, daring anyone to challenge him!. And he cursed! I became fascinated with this whole hip hop thing!. From there I started checking out other rappers: Kool Moe Dee, KRS-One, Eric B and Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and Biz Markie, it goes on and one!. That led me to discovering the b-boy and DJ experiences as well!. I've been studying the whole culture for 21 years now!.
And am I a hip hop head!? Yeah, probably stereotypically so!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

He used to trick me into buying hip hop cassettes with my allowance!.!.lol!.!.!.good times!.!.
My first memory was listening to ain't nothing but a g thang-dr dre!.!.!.and from then on!.!.!.!.i have been soooo into hip hop!.!.!.!.
I remember my first cassette I ever bought was the fugees-the score!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

1- I grew up in the projects in South Bronx, New York!. all we had there was hip hop!. which is a good thing, cus Hip Hop is great!. Tupac, Big L, KRS One, Mobb Deep, Etc
