i started playing because of Rik Emmett
i loved the rock and classical thing he had goin on i try to do the same but i sound nothing like him and don't try to copy his playing just liked the ideology + he is amazing
my biggest influences are not guitarist but bands
most "amazing guitarist" write horrible tunes and just showcase their skills which i most definitely respect and yes envy but really don't want to listen to
most great songwriters have average technical ability but a true vision for their music and given my technical ability i hope this is a trait i share
