Question: Does the household tape recorder distort a good singers voice!?
I was just wondering or should I really quit singing altogether!. I do karaoke but nobody ever tells you that you sing really bad!. I was actually quite horrified at what I played back when I recored myself!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Tape recorder!? Are you kidding!? Come out of the 80's and get a digital voice recorder!. That may give you a better idea of how you sound!. Tape recorders are full of distortion!.

You will always sound differently to yourself, but if the tones match or harmonize it will still sound good!. Rhythm is important too for the proper blending of the tones!. I worked with sound equipment extensively when I was in the US Navy so I know about tones and matching harmonics!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
