What kills me is what is being *considered* "oldies" now!. *The 80s*!? Oh man!

When *I* hear the word "oldies", I think the 50s & 60s right away!. Doo wop, etc!. But Not s*it from the 80s!
& how 'bout the kids who confuse the decades!? "Oooo, lLyKe, I am SO retro! I lykE LoVe The 80s! DISCO! Woo HOO!!"

If that isn't sad/scary enough, I see kids on here calling bands like Nirvana & TOOL "old"!.

wow!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm going to get older anyway, but, yea, I wince when the DJ says"now here's a classic from Huey Lewis and the News, or "now here's a deep cut from Faith No More!. But, I guess since most DJs are younger than me, I take it with a grain of salt!. Wait until you're really older, with many children, and they wonder what the heck your listening to!. And, you ask them the same question!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I've frequently seen people on here call Nirvana 'Classic Rock'!. I'm only 26 {almost}, but to me the cut-off point is 1979!.

I know many people disagree with me, but my definition of 'Classic Rock' is :~
Bands and artists who originated between 1960 - 1979!.

If they started between 1980 - 1989, they are '80's Rock', and between 1990 - 1999 = '90's Rock'!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yeah, especially when kids now go to 80's parties and thinking, "uh, that's not what we wore in the 80's!" I'm 29 and working on my BA and I sit next to some people who's parents are as old as my sisters, and only 7 years older than me! Oh well, they really don't make music like they used to, though!. Wait, I think that's what my parents used to say!. Good grief! ;)Www@Enter-QA@Com

They play Nirvana on classic rock stations now!. I wonder how long it'll be until it's legitimately played on oldies stations!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well I'm a teen, and when I hear oldies, i think 60's =] [which is what I like!.!.] but late 70s-80s!?!?! Huh!!?!? Fonzie T is totally right/Www@Enter-QA@Com
