Jimi's "Little Wing" is very nice but Eddie's first album very nice too!. You are looking at two sides of the same coin!. Robert Johnson, to Carl Perkins and BB King to Chet Atkins to Jimi and Clapton to Eddie Van Halen on to Stevie Ray and Al DiMeola!. These people were and are the greatest of the greats because they were the PIONEERS of their sounds!. Hendrix had people in a daze ( I was there, I was dazed too) but my God, I remember the first time a Van Halen song was ever played on the radio, in 1978 ( I think) They played "Eruption"!. Holy super guitar-hero Batman, my knees almost buckled!. These guitarists are not one better than the other!. They are just better than everyone else!Www@Enter-QA@Com

the problem is that you are arguing about the 2 most influential gutiar players in rock music! both changed the way guitar was perceived and played and both deserve the credit due to them!. neither is better because they are both incredible, revolutionary artists that totally changed the instrument!
