That "switch thingy' selects what pickups you want to use!. It varies a little depending on if your using a guitar with humbuckers or single coil pickups!. Generally speaking all the way to the right will be your bridge/lead pickup, in the middle will be both or just the middle pickup (if you have a single coil setup) and all the way to the left will be your neck/rhythm pickup!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

ok the switch on an electric guitar is usually to crank the gain up a few more clicks, even if your amp is already maxed!. the knobs control how much cover is on the note and how much country soundin crap, that twangy sound, nad one for volume, and maybe reverb or something depending on your model!. so yehhit me up me if you need further information!. ive been playing for a long time!. I believe the twitch is for what pick up you want your sound to come from !.
Middle switch picks up rhythm and lead!.
The pick up towards the back of the guitar is for lead guitar playing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think it might be the pickup selector switch!.
