There are pros and cons of both
PROS
Standing:
Great if you're tall
Better Atmosphere
Closer to the band
Able to mosh and go crazy
CONS
If you are short you cant see a thing
Getting pushed and punched by randoms
Very rough
Sore Feet
Can Get things stolen from you!.
PROS
Seated!.
Put Your stuff under the chair and it wont get stolen
Garrented spot
Can go and get stuff during intermisson and wont lose your spot!.
Can sit down if you get sore feet
Easier to film because you wont have randoms jumping on top of you!.
CONS
Furthur away
Cant mosh (But me and my mates created a five person mosh pit anyway)
I personally prefer seated!. I had third row at a concert and it was awesome!. Make sure you take some pain killers before the concert because it will be sooooo loud!.

Personally I'd stand rather than sit!. You can move about and be up close!. I reckon that's the thrill of being there, cuz you might aswell just listen to a cd if you're not gonna be part of the action!. also, just for the experience I guess standing is more fun and like, I duno I guess standing is just so much more fun and you can get involved!. Plus, BRING ON THE FREAKING MOSH PITS PLEASE!

Depends entirely on the show!.
Bands like Fleetwood Mac and the like, I prefer seated, where I can just sit back and enjoy!.
A good Metal concert, I prefer standing (well!.!.!. and or Moshing!.!.!.!.!. Hey VT!.!.!. I think I'm olderr than you!.!.!. and I'm not too old! LOL)
And then!.!.!. for shows like the Grateful Dead (back in the day) and Phish, I like Gen Ad, and just wandering and dancing across the lawn the whole show!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I love to stand up front, it's easier to see plus you can really appreciate the show!. Who would want to sit down listening to a Rock Concert!? Part of the fun is dancing around and getting into the music!. Course, those standing seats up front usually cost a pretty penny!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think it really depends on the band and the venue!.
I've only been to two concerts :~
I saw Fleetwood Mac twice in 2003, and the venue was set-up as seating only!. For their style of music, this works best!. For the last part of the set all of the audience stood-up anyway ~ and the back of the seat in front of you is perfect for drumming on!Www@Enter-QA@Com

There's really no difference at a rock concert, because the people in front of you when you are seated always stand as soon as the band comes on anyway, but I always have to have a seat because I can't stand for long periods of time so I never get to see the whole show!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I like seated shows!. You can take your time, get there when you please, and know that there is a seat waiting for you!. General Admissions shows are fun, but you have to get there so early if your gonna get up front!. Plus i'm getting too old to be in the pit now : PWww@Enter-QA@Com
i would choose standing these days!. but it all depends on what band you see!. because when i go see arch enemy, in flames, soilwork!.!.!.etc!. i wanna be right up front!. even though most big shows have those dumb barricades!. but im talking about small venues where the bands right there in front of you those are always the bestWww@Enter-QA@Com

When l was younger (under 30!!) l would go standing and dance and jump around,now l'm older l opt for sitting and relax with a drink and watch everything more methodically !.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I personally prefer seated concerts!. Most standing concerts THESE DAYS usually mean lame pop-punk/emo bands that try to make their audience feel grown up by showing them how to mosh!. Atleast while seated people are in order and you can actually focus on the music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
