Question: Does anyone know what the time signature is for this song!?
What is the time signature for Carl Orff's Carmina Burana:O Fortuna!? Anyone know!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
The opening is in 3/1 (three semibreves/whole notes to a bar) then goes into 3/2 at bar 4!. 6/2 is not technically correct (although it's pretty pedantic to say so as they are essentially the same thing as far as listening is concerned), as the grouping is in semibreves, not in minims!. However the second part definately couldn't be said to be in 9/2 - the phrases are grouped in twos not in threes - so it's not even as if the editor has changed the time signiature!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I sang this last year and honestly don't remember exactly!.!.!. but it would probably be easy to obtain part of the score online!. The time signature shifts many times throughout the piece though!.!.!. 3/4, 4/4, probably others!.!.!. sorry I couldn't be of more help!Www@Enter-QA@Com

6/2 to start, then in the second part 9/2!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
