Peak thrash albums...?!

Question: Peak thrash albums!.!.!.!?
Most thrash acts really got it together between their debut and selling-out

examples include

Metallica's Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and !.!.!.And Justice for All

Megadeth's So Far So Good!.!.!.So What!, Rust in Peace, and Countdown to extinction (I know many will say Peace Sells instead of countdown)

Slayer's American Recordings releases Reign in Blood, South of Heaven, and Seasons in the Abyss

Testament's Practice What You Preach, Souls of Black, and the Ritual

Sepultura's Beneath the Remains, Arise, and Roots

Metallicas peak to me was ride the lightning, Some of the black album was alright though(cant stand ender sandman!.!.!.!.!.) Sold out with Load

Megadth i actually favor Rust in Peace

With Slayer my fav albums are Show No Mercy, hell Awaits and Seasons, Reign In Blood is a pretty overrated album, They sold out with Diabolus in Musica

Roots was a terrible album, makes me cringe everytime i hear it

Sepultura peaked during schizophrenia in my opinion, but i like all these albums(morbid visions, Bestial Devastation, schizophrenia, beneath the remains, arise)

Edit: I heard testaments newest album the day it was released, sadly it seemed pretty uninspired, nothing really stood outWww@Enter-QA@Com

Megadeth
-Countdown
+Peace Sells

Testament
-Practice
-Souls of Black
-The Ritual
+The Legacy
+The New Order
+The Gathering

Sepultura
-Roots
+Schizophrenia

I would also add:
"Handle With Care" by Nuclear Assault
"Bonded By Blood" by Exodus
and just about every Sodom albumWww@Enter-QA@Com

I dont think you can Slayer or Sepultrua sold out!.!.!.!.(IMO)

In fact, since Reign In Blood, Slayer has been about the same!.
And all Sepultura did was incorporate some groove into their thrashy-death sound!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I got to agree with you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

testament's newest album is sick!. i love it!. i don't think they sold out at all!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

well i think you got most on their but your off on a couple!.!.!.!.
Metallica- Kill Em All(their best),Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, !.!.!.And Justice for All, Black album was considered a part of their prime, some people consider i their best some call it thei intro to selling out, i thinks its OK

Megadeth- i think their the greatest band ever, their prime was!.!.!.!. Killing Is My Business, Peace Sells!.!.!.But Whos Buying!?, SoFarSoGoodSoWhat!, and the greatest metal album ever Rust In Peace!.!.!.!.!. some people say Countdown To Extinction and Youthanasia!.!.!.!. i consider their whole catalog, except RISK, is awsome

Slayer- their prime was Reign In Blood, South Of Heaven(my fav), Seasons In The Abyss!.!.!. but all of their stuff kicks a$$ their 2 prior albums Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits rip, and Divine Intervention and Christ Illusion are some of the best metal

Testament- prime- The New Order(their best album), Practice What You Preach, Souls of Black, and LOW!.!.!. the Ritual is not considered one of their prime by anyone, that is their worst album, sounds like a hard rock cd!.!.!.!.!. but the rest of their stuff is some of the best, The Legacy, The Gathering and although most people dont like Demonic, its one of my favs

Sepultura - their prime was Schizophrenia(close 2nd), Beneath The Remains(their best album), Arise, Chaos AD
!.!.!. Roots was a little tribal, sounded like new metal, kind of even sucked, once max left=garbage!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree about most of it!. But if you're suggesting that !.!.!.And Justice For All was the sell-out album for Metallica, you're truly mistaken!. Metallica could still thrash with the best of 'em on that one!. They started to sell out in 1990 with The Black Album!.

Slayer never sold out!. They just kept making heavy, speedy thrash!.

Megadeth didn't really sell out!. Just aren't as heavy anymore!.

Testament are still making great thrash!.

Sepultura sold out on Roots!. Without Max, they amounted to nothing but a crappy band out of Brazil!. But luckily, we have Cavalera Conspiracy now!.

Anthrax peaked on Among the Living, IMO!. But the newer albums with John Bush made them less thrashy!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

ima use da utha guys method here!.!.!.

I meet Bobby's fiance(Now his wife) back in the mid 1990's!.She was a Go-Go dancer(Smoking Hot) at a few clubs my girlfriend worked at!.She was also really cool not stuck-up!Just like Bobby still is!
How bout Nuclear Assault when they did "Some thing wicked!"

Oh by the way that's my Bro's Scott Metaxis, and Dave Dipetro(He taught Zakk rock guitar!)!.I still remember when they got the gig!.
Peace love metal!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think metallica peaked with And justice for all and have been on a steady decline since!. black was ok, but there was a missing element to it!.
i feel that practice what you preach was by far the best work by testament!.
slayer still keeps true to their past sound!. i'm not crazy about their latest stuff (Christ Illusion) but still has managed to crank the same great sound out of their creaky bones
youthanasia was probably where megadeth started their downward spiral!.
i'm not a max cavalera fan so i will abstain from answering that one, just to be fair!.
As far as Anthrax is concerned, it's hard for me to swallow anything beyond Joey Belladonna's tenure!.

Although I don't agree with you on all your points!.!.!.thanks for asking the q's on here!.!.!.pretty thought-provoking, always to get a different perspective on things!.

Have to agree with IB on Megadeth, I think that they just evolved into a different band, a maturity of sorts (something i have yet learned to appreciate fully)Www@Enter-QA@Com
