Can anyone else remember a song from about 1966, called "Three 'o' !
Question: Can anyone else remember a song from about 1966, called "Three 'o' Clock, Flamingo Street"!?
I've been trying to remember who wrote it, who performed it, and when exactly!. - It's been driving me nuts for over a week!
The trouble is, there were so many groups at the time, singing these 'stressed and strained' songs of turmoil, and I'm getting them confused!.
Can anyone give me any information!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

here are the lyrics:
the artist was David McWilliams
hope i helped!
Empty sound, deserted town
Beneath the silvy-feathered down
Of morning's waiting breath
Forgotten tunes and silver spoons
Goes to deeply shadowed gloom
And I sign death
Junk appears through plastic years
Holds his bottle, heaven near
And dimly strings to rise
Unreal, can't feel
A staggered danglin' abandoned steel
Through plastic-coated eyes
Don't turn away, there ain't no need
It's just three o'clock, Flamingo Street
Bigbandshow, an hour ago
I saw the laughing doormen show
The stairway to the crowd
Yellow girl, hair in curl
Swinging in a rhythmic world
To the music playing loud
Close light shines bright
Pierces through the yielding night
And hides the shadows deep
Feeling free should be
No time to turn the door and see
When in the morning widows weep
Don't turn away, there ain't no need
It's just three o'clock, Flamingo Street
Paint's begun, bottle done
No place where a man can run
To shield the shooting brain
Head down, round and round
Hold unhearted to the ground
Untouched by the rain
Flesh cold, young or old
Who cares if it should be told
It's only in the playing
Jack and Jill have their fill
Begin to walk the dead until
It all begins again
Don't turn around, there ain't no need
It's just three o'clock, Flamingo StreetWww@Enter-QA@Com
