Answers:
I would be glad to, but I have a simple way of teaching students this task!.

You need:
--a pair of scissors
--a ruler
--a protractor
--a compass
--a pencil
--a marker
--a copper pin fastener
--a supply of cardboard or poster board

With the compass, draw a circle!.
With the protractor and ruler, divide the circle into 12 pie slices of 30 degrees each!.
Cut out the circle!.
Take the marker!.
On the edges of the pie slices, and going clockwise, mark the slilces C, G, D, A, E, B, F#, C#, Ab (G#), Eb, Bb, F!.
This circle will hereinafter be called the "Circle of Fifths!."

With the compass and scissors, cut out some more circles the same size as the Circle of Fifths!.
These circles will hereinafter be called "overlays!."

On one of them, cut out peepholes for C, G, and E!.
Draw an arrow pointing to the C!.
Mark this circle "Major!."

On the flip side of this circle, you should be able to position the circle so that C, G, and Eb show!. Again draw an arrow pointing to the C, and mark this circle "Minor!."

Make another overlay like the major overlay, but add another peephole for Bb!.
Mark this one "Seventh!."

Make another one with C, E, and G# (Ab) peeping through!.
Mark this one "Augmented!."
Don't draw any arrows, because this one can go three different ways!.

Make another one for C, Eb, F#, and A!.
This one will be "Diminished Seventh!."
No arrows here, either!. This one can go four different ways!.

If you want to go really advanced, you can make one for French sixths (Ab, C, D, and F#) and for Italian sixths (Ab, C, and F#)!. You can use the Dominant Seventh overlay for German sixths!.

To find a chord, put one of the overlays on the Circle of Fifths, stick the copper pin through the center of both circles, and turn the overlay!.

With a little practice using this apparatus, you won't even need any help!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
