Where do I go from here on guitar?!
Question: Where do I go from here on guitar!?
I have been playing for 4 years now and I was wondering where I go from here!? I have a teacher, but when I am done working on that stuff I want to play more so I can get better!. I know my pentatonic/major/minor scales!. So should I just solo by myself to get better!? Play hard songs to get better!? Just want to know where I go to play like a champ!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

From experience (24 years on bass), teachers can only teach you so much!. I found that I learnt faster just by playing with CDs or with other musicians!. You're one step up on me, I still dont know my scales! hahaha!. But I know what sounds good with what!. As for guitar, I would, depending on your tastes, play along with some simplish blues numbers and try to improvise with your own lead!. Its gonna sound pretty ordinary at first, but you'll get better!. Playing with other guitarists is great for instant feedback/advice and lots more fun!. Good luck dude!Www@Enter-QA@Com
