Question: How should i go about giving bass lessons to beginners!?
i am a 20 year old musician!. play drums, bass, guitar, baritone ukelele!. but i am most comfortable with bass, as it is also my main instrument!. and i want to give lessons to beginners!. and teach them the basics of the instrument as well as teach them songs!. i am a very good player!. i can play nearly all styles and i know many songs!. over a thousand i would say!. i want to give bass lessons cause i feel like the younger i am the more the kids can relate, since i know alot of songs that they may like!. and my friends tell me i am really good at teaching!. (i teach them songs alot)!. i want to start with maybe 10 to 15 bucks an hour!. since the music stores charge double that at the least!. what do you think!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

So - where would you do this!? If you are going to teach at YOUR place, you need to carry liability insurance - most private teachers carry a million $ (I do) since people can fall, etc!. - and also because you are ALONE with kids - do I have to make THAT any plainer!?!?!? If at a store, they have to determine if you are qulified - and then they take a cut of your earnings!. There is a REASON that most people will only have their kids study with degreed, certified ADULTS - sorry!.
Now - you can probably do this under the SUPERVISION of someone else!. how about a guitar/bass CAMP, where you could teach, and get paid!? You can most definielty work your way into this - but yuou will be disappointed if youtry to justy jump in!. You might get a frst students or two - but that would be it!. NETWORK with other teachers, players,e tc!. = you canmake thi shappen!. How about YOUR education!?!? Find a great school where YOU can go farther - there are MANY that focus on popular and rock music - and you will get a great education and have CREDENTIALS - they mean a LOT!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
