Question: Why do people like the song "stairway to heaven" better than "wont get fooled again"!?
I admit i am a who fan who hates led zepplin because i feel the singer is just screaming!.!.!.BUT even if i was a fan i dont see what is so special about Stairway to Heaven

Stairway to Heaven is deep and mystical!. It tells a story and has a lot of buidup!. Don't get me wrong now, Won't Get Fooled Again is one of the best songs ever written but it is not unique!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Stairway and "Fooled Again" are two completely different songs!. Stairway is a ballad, a song that was written to be "timeless" and played at weddings, "Won't Get Fooled Again" is a rocker!. I'm surprised about what you say about Plant's screaming when Roger Daltry is known for his screams (and some of the best screams in rock, I might add)!.
That being said, I prefer "Won't Get Fooled Again" because it is a rocker and hasn't been shoved down my throat 8 billion times on classic rock radio!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I used to like Stairway to Heaven before the FM Radio stations played the song over and over in the 70's, 80's and 90's!. Its a good song but if I don't ever hear it again I'll be okay with it!. Now on the other hand, Won't get fooled again by The Who is a rocking song!. That whole album, Who's Next, is one of my favorites from that era!. "Behind Blue Eyes" is my favorite from the album!. What a time!. Led Zeppelin's songs are cooking but between the two you mentioned I'd go with The Who!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Stairway to Heaven is an all time epic anthem!.Robert plant took this Anthem and song the crap out of it!.How could you say Robert Plant Screams!? He has one of (if not) the best voices i'v ever heard i could listen to his music for hrs!.Now as for "We Won't Get Fooled Again" another great song touching on politics has stood the test of time!. This was Pete Townshend's unillusioned view of the radical agitation of the late 60's and 70's!.!.It was a great song!.!. Both of these classics have stood the test of time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
personally i like stairway a little better even though i do prefer the who as a band!.!.!.the lyrics to stairway are just very touching and very well thought out, which imo is a departure from the norm for zeppelin, while won't get fooled again is a much rougher song and is still great, but to me doesn't have the same effect as a song like stairwayWww@Enter-QA@Com
"Stairway to Heaven" is considered to be the number one "Classic Rock" song of all time!. I personally think it's one of the best but not necessarily the best!.
"Won't get fooled Again", is a rocker! And since I'm a definite rock and roller, I'll go with that!

I HATE satirway to heaven and think the song should be banished from the earth!.
i am a HUGE led zeppelin fan but i spent my 20's working in radio and you have absolutley no idea how many times i had to hear that song or hear some schmuck ask for it to be played!.!.!.
they did write a multitude of other, better songs!.
the only Who songs i really like are 5:15 and the boozer i get or whatever it was!.!.!.

Even though I like Zepplin, I like "Won't Get Fooled Again" better because it rocks!. From start to finish, it rocks!. And, unlike Stairway, it is a song that has something a bit more meaningful to say!. Not just this crazy story!.!.!.!.!. =]Www@Enter-QA@Com

I like Stairway!. I just like it basicaly but I think more people like stairway because of the jokes and the fact that the song is made fun off by alot of music chanles and the infamous joke in Waynes World!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
