Question: Should I sing this song for my aunt!?
Okay, so I've had a really hard time deciding whether to sing this song I wrote for my auntie or not!. I have a concert on June 4th that I'm allowed to sing a solo at!. So, I wrote a song and I have CD accompaniment for this song!.
Let's say that hypothetically as a child you were made fun of for your looks, but now you're older and you don't put yourself down for your looks as much as you used to!. Then several years later your niece decides to write a song for you and sing it to you at a concert of hers that you go to attend!. She starts off the song well, and the beginning of the chorus goes,
"I just wanted to say that whatever the world has told you can't be real, 'cuz in my heart you're beautiful"
If you were the one that this was being sung to, would you take offense that someone brought up your past on stage (even though I won't say who I'm singing this to on stage- she'll know it's for her)!? Would you somehow misinterpret the lyrics and take offense!?

Well it seems that you love your auntie very much and I think that's what she will hear!. You took the time to write the song give her the chance to hear it! I say go for it, anouncing your love in public just makes it ring truer, you know wow, she is saying she loves me in front of all these people, not to mention the fact that you took time to write it for her, WOW!

I would not!. You mean well, but no ones wants to be told that the world finds her unattractive, even if she already knows it!. She especially doesn't want it sung to her in front of an audience!. Take it from someone who also doesn't resemble Keira Knightly!. Don't!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i guess its really about the persons personality i cant really say yes or no because i dont know her but if i were to get over my bad looks and was happy about the way i looked i might cry but the tears wouldn't be sad it would kind of be proud happy tears i guessWww@Enter-QA@Com
