Eagles, Eric Clapton, or Rolling Stones?!

Question: Eagles, Eric Clapton, or Rolling Stones!?
Which band is most successful today!? Here's an argument for all 3!. I'm very interested in hearing what you think!.

Eagles!. Their greatest hits album is biggest of all albums sold in USA!. Their album released last year, sold more than any other album that year, even out selling Josh Groban!.
Their album released in mid 90's also sold tremendously well!.

Rolling Stones: Album sales are extremely sluggish compared to the Eagles!. But their concert annual fees have massed up to the biggest concert attractions of the year for the past 5 tours they have been on, each time setting world records!.

Eric Clapton: He lags the Eagles in record sales, and The Stones in Concert draw, but what I think he has is that he consistently puts out more records of high quality than any of the others!. And he tours more, I think!. His winning method is in plain old chugging and consistency!.

I personally love all 3 bands and am looking for opinions!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
i think the stones are the most successful!.!.!.they are one of the most popular bands of all time here in the states and around the world, and we can't even measure their popularity in great britain as well!.!.!.the eagles never got big outside america because their sound was not really popular outside this country, so i would put them last actually!.!.!.clapton actually got more popular with his acoustic solo career now, and his work from his other projects can be added in here also, so i would have him secondWww@Enter-QA@Com

I love them all but the rolling stone have kinda turned into the rock steriotype of old rockers who rule the world i love them and they deserve every success but i belive the main reason for there sucess recently is because of the way they have marketed greatest hits T-shirts mugs badges ect!.
Clever with a good logo!.
The music now falls in second!.!.!.!. shame as it bloomin awsomeWww@Enter-QA@Com

The most successful band is the Rolling Stones!.!.!.

Although Clapton is perhaps the most accomplished musician, he isn't a band by himself!.

The Eagles do not come close to the Rolling Stones in international appeal and recognition!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

well today more songs of the rolling stones are being played and the majority of people would be able to name more songs from them compared to eagles or eric claptonWww@Enter-QA@Com

Rolling Stones !. They have a complete marketing infrastucture to be the most successful until they dieWww@Enter-QA@Com

The stones are bigger but i prefer the eagles and clapton!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Rolling StonesWww@Enter-QA@Com

The Rolling Stones dude all the way!Www@Enter-QA@Com

eagles are the best but stones probably sell more these daysWww@Enter-QA@Com

the stones they rock !Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't care how many Eagles records sell, they are not and never could be the Rolling Stones!. Unlike Eagles, the Stones get along and do not tour with a personal attorney, stay in separate hotels and arrive at shows in different limousines!. Eagles ought to be honest and have each member performing on an individual stage!.

The difference is the Stones have the ability to play what the Eagles play, and do a better job of it!. Take "Dead Flowers"!. Far better country rock than any Eagles tune, in my opinion!. Same for "Honky Tonk Women", which predates Eagles!. But imagine the inept hilarity of an Eagles version of "Brown Sugar" or "Jumpin' Jack Flash!." Only Joe Walsh could handle it, and he's a late addition to the band!.

Clapton is all right with me, but I would not drive six hours to see him in concert, as I have the Stones!. I like how he consistently pumps up the bluesmen who inspired him!.

The Stones are far more versatile than the other two onstage and in the studio!. Clapton is not interested in going back to rock!. He's happy now and I'm happy for him!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I can only give a personal opinion!.

1!. Eagles: One of my fave groups UNTIL Don left!. The saxophonists that they have added have stuffed the band completely in my opinion, regardless of what record sales say!. The original Eagles were brilliant!.

2!. Rolling Stones: Well, they keep on rolling don't they!. They should have been dead years ago from drug abuse if there was any logic in the world, but in spite of a certain Stone somehow falling out of a coconut tree on their last tour here in Oz, they were fantastic!. Expensive, but worth it!.

3!. Feb 6th last year, went to see Clapton at Brisbane's Entertainment centre, and despite Eric being my favourite guitarist, and having a large collection of his music, his performance in Brisbane could only be described as very ordinary indeed!. In fact he was booed off at the end!. The musicians he had with him were not the best, which may have had something to do with it!. His short, solo, acoustic bit in the middle of the concert, was superb, but the majority wasn't!. at $195 a ticket people expected more from him and he just didn't deliver -even remotely!.

imho
1!. It's still Clapton when at his best
2!. Close second Stones
3!. Eagles [the original ones that is]Www@Enter-QA@Com
