(2) Eric Clapton (Just listen to his Bluesy Hard guitar Riffs with Cream and you will know that he's a calm alien)
(3) Black Sabbath (The band that brought pure metal to surface even if some people were before them , yet no one did real pure like a robot sound Metal sounds like Sabbath)
(4) Bob Dylan (He didn't have the voice , but he had the vision , the soul and he's the greatest lyricist in Rock 'N' Roll world period) !.
(5) Van Halen (The last of the mighty real rock bands and Eddie Van Halen even if preceeded , did double tap like no one else !.!.!.!.!. A trademark sound) !.
(6) ACDC (Real Deal my way or the highway band which did Rock that is Harder than Hard Rock and Heavy Metal , driven by a slight Bluesy riffage ) !.
(7) Eagles (Only an ignorant would doubt their talent) !.
(8) Fleetwood Mac (Personally , I'm a Peter Green's Blues driven fan , but no one can deny their revelations sometimes after Green's era like the song "Big Love live version" !.
(9) Genesis (Peter Gabriel's era was really special , even though Phil Collins worked hard later , but he got carried into Pop , Dancy , Empty , MTV sound where Genesis ended ) !.
(10) Chicago (I'm not that familiar with their music , yet I heard they're kinda like Steely Dan regarding combining Jazz with Rock , but with a more Jazzy sound that was great ) !.
(11) Police ( Regardless of the 80s lame appearance and way , Sting and his pals are really artists who combined Reggae's sound with a Rockish , Popish smart commercially successful sound in most of their songs !. Don't even listen to people's opinion about them ) !.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I hardly Ever hear any mentions of Genesis in general!. I wouldn't put them on any "overrated" list!.
& I actually can't honestly call any of those acts you listed overrated!. Why!?
-Either I don't hear much about them at all or!.!.!.
- They actually did a Lot of great work and/or did groundbreaking work that pushed rock music forward!.
I thought maybe VH at 1st, but then remembered Eddie's innovative guitar playing that was So copied during the 80s!.
Then FM, but no one mentions them much at all!. Same for the Eagles & the Police or even Elton John!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Personally, I think the one overrated rated ones are Sabbath and AC/DC!. When it comes to ACDC, all their music sounds the same, same goes for the Ramones!. As for Sabbath, Ozzy is a horrible singer!. He just sounds like he's saying words!. There is no real talent there!. Thats my opinion, at least!.!.!.
