Software or website for the transposition of music?!
Question: Software or website for the transposition of music!?
Hello,
I am trying to determine whether or not there is a website, or some sort of software, that is able to automatically transpose music written for an instrument, say from a C Trumpet to a B Flat Trumpet!. I do not believe that Sibelius is able to achieve this!.

This is very easy to do in Sibelius with one command, assuming your music is already input into the file!.
1) Create a "Trumpet in Bb" instrument
2) Input the music in C that you wish to transpose to Bb
3) Click "Notes" and then "Transposing Score"
Your music is now transposed to properly sound in C when played on a Bb instrument!. You may have to change errant sharps/flats but that's as simple as highlighting the note and pressing Enter!.
Alternately you can select a passage or an entire staff, click "Notes" then "Transpose" - you can then set the amount of semitones you wish to transpose by, or simply create a new instrument with the desired transposition (D Piccolo or Eb Alto Sax, for example)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

the link is to The Hal Leonard download web-sight, you can transpose on line with the pieces they publish!. Otherwise Finale or Sibelius are both programs that will transpose!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
