Answers:
Terrible idea!.

Drums are worth ALOT(i know, my set was a butt-load) so i dont know your neighbors, but i know id like a new set!. Climate changes are a killer on objects!. Warp the Shells, stretches the skins/pads!. Why would you want to play your set outside!? If you gotta band, trust me, no one wants to sit outside on a hot or cold day playing a cover of Crazy Train(yeah!.!.!.that didnt work out for us!.) Besides, neighbors dont like hearing a sloppy rehearsal!. So do what you must!. But a drum set is pretty important if you dont have room!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Keeping a drum set outside is a bad idea!. If it rains, even on the patio it will rust!. My suggestion is you take it apart and store it in pieces!. Don't keep it outside!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I wouldn't becuase of:

1: Damage of wood due to temp!. change

2: Could be stolen, drum sets are worth a pretty penny!.

3: Could be very loud and annoying to neighborsWww@Enter-QA@Com

probably not the best idea!.
I kept my drumkit in a friends garage for about six months and it wasn't good!. The wood stretched when it got cold!. It never played the same again!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's not good if there's changes in temperature and humidity!. The wood in the drum shell can warp from that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Even if it's not getting directly rained on, it will end up rusting due to the humdity in the air!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
