Question: How to find out if music is clean without listening to entire song!?
I'm trying to compile a bunch of music for a younger sibling!. How can I find out if the music is clean without listening to the entire song!? (I have THOUSANDS of songs!.!.!.) Is there a website that will tell you if the music has swearing/sexual innuendo/violence/drug references in it!? Any suggestions would be appreciated!.
I'm looking for something simple, like you type in the song name and hit enter, and it comes up with "This song says the d-word twice" or something like that!.

Easy way: Look up the lyrics like the other poster said!.
Hard, but perhaps faster way: Do a recognition search!. Go to http://www!.research!.att!.com/~ttsweb/tts/!.!.!. and type in the word you want to look for!. Have the TTS say the word(s) and record it into Sound Forge or something!. Then use a VST (there are many that can do this; Sound Forge probably can as well although I've never tried it) to search and flag any similar sound signatures!. This works kind of like the Speech Recognition in Windows!. The sensitivity of this method is high, but the specificity is low, meaning that in many cases, it will flag signatures that are innocuous!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

So, you want act as a censor!? That's what Wal-Mart does on the recordings and DVDs they sell!. Do you think that your younger sibling has not already heard and used profanities!?
There can be no art or creativity with censorship of any sort, especially in music!. Now, I am not saying that you should expose this younger sibling to some of the ridiculous, gratutitous profanity in gangsta rap and hardcore music, but there is plenty of music out there that you can choose that doesn't resort to sensationalist profanity!.

I think the best way to find clean songs is to compile a lot of songs that you currently like to listen to and listen to them a lot, so much that you know most of the lyrics!. That way you'll know what the songs sound like, and you'll probably be able to know what has inappropriate material in them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
