Question: R&P'ers - are Disturbed and Drowning Pool worth checking out!?
My computer's kinda crapping out right now, so YouTube buffering is taking FOREVER!.
Anyway some friends at school keep telling me to listen to these two (of course I've already listened to "Down With The Sickness" and "Bodies") but I don't put much faith in them - they also told me to listen to MCR!.
So I'd like to know your opinions - to pursue or not to pursue!?

Drowning Pool seems heavy without trying to ace the content!. No other song except Bodies stands out!.
MCR is a cult and should be avoided!. They are more popular than good!.
Disturbed is interesting!. They are turning into the metal version of Green Day!. Some like the sound when Down With The Sickness was popular (1999-2002) and some fans like their newer songs (like me, I think Rise and Ten Thousand Fists are excellent)!. That being said, they are very dark and yet somehow throw a cover of Genesis' "Land Of Confusion" into an otherwise dark record!. I think they are still feeling their way, and this latest album seems very formulaic, not taking chances!.

Disturbed has many songs that I listen to!. I would recommend the Ten Thousand Fists album (Disturbed), Down With the Sickness, and Stupify!. Most likely their new album will be kickass too!. As for Drowning Pool, "Bodies" and "Sinner" are the only songs I listen to by them!. I am also a huge MCR fan (don't hate, I'm not emo or anything, I just like them) The albums that I would check out are Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and The Black Parade!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
"Tear Away" and "Bodies" are Drowning Pool's only songs that I like!. I don't love them by any means, but I have them on my iPod!.

ALL bands are worth checking out, you have to be open-minded about music, you will never truly know what bands you like until you listen to them!. So go for it! Ya might like them, ya might not!. =)Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think they are okay, but both badns are basically just stuck with the same late 90's and early 2000 style
