I do not respect your taste in music if it involves "loving" the Jonas Brothers, but I suppose we should all allow for the possibility that you simply haven't developed good taste in music yet!. You also may be young, impressionable, and be under the sway of popular media!.

To get respect you need to start acting as though you deserve it!. That means not shoving your musical tastes down other peoples' throats!. If you love the Jonas Brothers, fair enough, but do it quietly, please!.
