Question: Why do people like the screaming/ grunting kind of heavy metal!?
i love alot of heavy rock such as Mudvayne, Megadeath, Tallica etc!. but why do people like the kind that sounds the same in every song and just have a bunch of clashing guitars and screaming/growling/howling as the lyrics!. i mean, maybe that's great if you pumping iron and want some adrenaline rush but how can anyone find enjoyment in that 'music'!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

There are many ways you can enjoy metal that has screaming parts in it!. I preferably like the genres of Melodic Death Metal, Symphonic Death Metal, and Viking Metal!.
Viking Metal such as Wintersun has a great "epic" sound to the song!. also, notice that the lead singers could sing in operas!. They are literally that talented at singing!.
Symphonic Death Metal is more about instrumental talent rather than vocals!. I absolutely love Eternal Tears of Sorrow!. Their music is like art, express in a different form of music!.
also, like I said there is a lot of metal that does combine screaming and singing with it!. I preferably like the way Into Eternity combines screaming with singing!. Their music never gets me bored!.
I would be lying to you though if I said that there weren't some metal songs where I did not like the screaming vocals!. I tend to not like guerilla like screams that are used in Deathcore genres!. I also, don't like screamo vocals used in metalcore genres!.

Because that music is very angry and sometimes when you are feeling very angry that kind of music can be comforting or cathartic!.

It's easy!.!.!.those screaming and grunting noises communicate directly with out primal urges!. It's like the fight or flight instinct!. Instinctively this music transports some to the time when man was a free and undomesticated mammal!. Those of us maintaining the heart of a lion hear it in the depths of our souls!. It's like the caged beast is finally released in that instant and we feel free!. It's amazing!. You should try just letting the sounds communicate and sing to you!.!.!.instead of fighting the entrance of the sounds to your ears!!.!.!.!.!.!.!.you might find it's a great experience!Www@Enter-QA@Com
Its the new thing, it dont all sound the same, theres metalcore, hardcore, death metal, and black metal and they all sound different!. I love it all!. You should get into it, my first song was 'Angel without wings' by Zao!. Thats what got me into it!. It has clean singing in it also, its not just growling!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I used to listen to Deicide/Cannibal Corpse/Carcass/etc-but my favorite thrash-like/death metal are Slayer, old Metallica, Sepultura, Pantera, Destruction!.!.!.(along with many others)Www@Enter-QA@Com
