Question: What do you think makes great Rock music!?
To me, I find it to be the musical talent and hard determination they put in their music and not becoming fakes and phonies!. What do you think!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Great Rock music is Great Art!. Both are formed from the love for the craft and the endless hours practicing and learning about your instrument!. talent only goes so far, talent with the determination to learn and be open to other points of view is even better!. Listening to all musical types not just the ones that sound good to your ears is the way to go!. The more experience with music the more it will influence you and your playing- and the ones around you!. There is nothing more challenging than playing an instrument- that is why tab is so popular- people look for the quick and easy- but quick and easy has no soul to it, you can hear the difference between bands who really live to make their music and want others to know how they think/feel about a subject and those who just want to make money!.
I always think of how bands start out- real great and strong with purpose- like Janes Addiction, Def Leppard, Aerosmith and then they ended up just mediocre because their drive and determination weren't there!. They had already achieved what they set out to do and then they got soft because they had no more inspiration!.
Great Rock is an attitude backed up with loads of talent and perseverance and a willingness to respect those who have rocked before you and learn from them, go out and see live shows, don't settle for anything less from yourself or your bandmates!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

In my view, there's no formula for it!. It's a very subjective judgment no matter how you slice it!. I'm sure everyone can name examples of things they like (in music or other things) without necessarily being able to put their finger on the reasons why!. This is especially true in my case; my tastes in music is all over the map, so to speak!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i think determination does not make great rock music, i think that is just talent, talent of causing us the right stressful sounds to catch our senses and give us a great feeling!.!.!.!.

Man, it's ALL about attitude!. Some of the best r&r didn't have the best talent from a technical aspect!. It's all about character, attitude, and being raw and real!. Look at The Stooges, MC5, even The Stones!. They're all pretty sloppy but they kick @ss--they're nothing special as far as the technical aspect goes!. The eagles play f*cking tight--and they totally suck!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Talent; Awesome guitarists, Kick *** vocalists, Hella freaking great Bassists and Driving drumbeats that make you wish you could get tickets to their show plus vocalists that write their own lyrics don't hurt either for example: AFI is so very awesome!Www@Enter-QA@Com
