I've been listening to the band, Mindless Self Indulgence, though I think of them more as eletronica than punk!. I've also been 'gettin into Senses Fail, and The Academy Is!.!.!.

Start off with!.!.!.I know I am being unoriginal but the ones who started all!.!.!.Ramones, and the one who completed it, Sex Pistols!.
For newer punk, try Offspring, Dead Kennedys (Not exactly new in this case but eh!. ), Pink Spiders, Bad Religion!. They are all great bands and are very basic, generic punk and easy to listen to for anyone who likes punk!.!.!.or any kind of rock imo!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

NOFX is the ultimate in punk rock!. They have a show on fuse right now (wow, 25 years of playing punk rock is a crazy amount of time!)!.
