No!. Music is recreational!. Kids need to learn something that will help them succeed in the future in high school!. They can learn the history of hip hop on their own like I did!.

i think that Hip-Hop should MOS DEF be an elective!. I dont kno about yall, but my highschool required a music credit to graduate, and all they music class choices were kinda whack!.!. chorus, band, or general music!.!. so Hip-Hop would be some cool sh*t playa!.!.

Possibly!.!.but on the real, many of these high school kids don't even have African/South American history as an elective!. They don't know or understand where most of our Black and Brown people descended from, that would be the starting point!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think it should incorporated into any music history class since it has been a large part of history!. I dont know if it needs a separate class!.!.!.can you imagine sittin through the history of "country music!?!?" yick!.!.hahaha

I wish today's kids did have a better knowledge of RHH history, but I suspect most HS teachers couldn't do the subject justice!. It would be a great college course, though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
