I Reeally don't think it deserves the slack it got!.!.(though I can understand some of the criticism)
I think it was a return to form in many ways after some forgettable 90s albums!. No one can tell me tracks like "Enter Sandman", "Unforgiven", "or "Nothing Else Matters" rock more than "Frantic" or "Invisible Kid" or the title track!.
*I* though St!. Anger was the hard-hitting album that they shoulda done back around '91!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Oh my! This is unusual!. Very few people will openly admit that they like the album for fear of being 'discredited' as a Metallica fan!. I applaud you!. I like it too!. It's different than what they did before, but it's a good album!. If any other band had done it, it probably would have been praised!. It's just not a typical Metallica album!.

I rate St!.Anger much the same as Reload, i!.e!. a few good tracks and quite different from what they've done before!.
So I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand but I think that neither it (or Reload) are as good as earlier classics such as And Justice For All or Master Of Puppets!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

To me its the 'Lars' album!.!.!.!. James Hetfield finally relinquishes total control to Lars hence the drum heavy production !.!.!.Metallica stopped makig music after !.!.!.and Justice for allWww@Enter-QA@Com
i thought it kicked major a** but unluckily very few other people do!. Invisible kid and the unnamed feeling are still some of my favorites from metallica!. Its good to see that someone else liked that awesome cdWww@Enter-QA@Com
I like a couple of songs off of it (Shoot Me Again, Some Kind of Monster, The Unnamed Feeling) but the trash can drums are enough to drive anyone crazy o_oWww@Enter-QA@Com
