Question: Hi everybody, I want to learn how to play guitar and bass guitar at the same time!?
I'm just started to play bass guitar about 1 month ago, but I really want to learn guitar as well at the same time, I wonder if is a good idea, but I like to spend about 20 minutes in each instrument, do anybody thing is a good idea!? I practice bass guitar 30 minutes every day, and I'll like to include a guitar practice!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I am guitarist of 10 years!. what you need to do is concentrate on the guitar a lot and bass will come naturally!. the reason for this in a simple way is: when playing a song on a guitar it will automatically have its bass notes which are single notes you then convert the knowledge and play it on the bass!. but i cant stress it enough(KEEP GUITAR AS YOUR PRIMARY INSTRUMENT) cheersWww@Enter-QA@Com
I'm seeing a lot of "play guitar and you can play bass" answers, but you have to keep in mind, they're not the same creature!. Granted, they're very similar, and knowing how to use a fretboard will help ALOT!. My best suggestion would be to work on your tempo when you're playing the bass!. You'll be all up on popping and slapping, or hard-picking the hell out of a root note like a punk musician, but the bass is a subtle weapon!. Lead the tempo!. Tap your foot slowly, breathe!.!.!.!.reach bass nirvana!.

When I started playing guitar I got a bass because I wanted to play both and couldn't make up my mind!. I never really ran into any problems as long as you focus alot on music theory and the fundamentals!. I never had any formal lessons all it takes is some independent research!. Its very possible!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
You can do both but it is better to focus on one a little more than the other!. I play acoustic and play about 2 hours a day!. An acoustic/electric guitar will allow you to play full songs without the aid of other members once you learn the chords to the songs!. Good luck!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I never once played bass till about a few months ago!. But before that I played guitar for 6 years!. The bass came naturally~ If I had to do it all over again, I'd do it the same, just play the guitar and I'd be able to play both
