Is TLC hip hop?!
Question: Is TLC hip hop!?
I'm not asking this to make fun or clown or anything like that, it's a serious inquiry!. I've noticed that in a lot of her answers, TLC Fo Life will reference TLC as a hip hop group!. I find that interesting!. I like TLC, but I've never considered them hip hop!.
So now, I'm asking everyone else: is TLC hip hop!? Why or why not!?

yep, definitely R&B, BUT!.!.!.!.i noticed when their albums are reviewed they were often called 'hip hop' just as Mary J Blige is often referred to as the queen of hip hop!.!.!.!.whatever that means!. I guess thats what the general population sees hip hop as, Ive heard usher being called a 'rapper' before too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I never thought of them as hip hop either!.!.!.if thats the case then Bell Biv Doe was hip hop too!.!.!.But these groups were never seen as or looked upon as hip hop groups!.!.!.They may have had a few hip hop beats to there songs but no!.!.!.They were more R&B then anything!.!.!.they just had a rapper or may have rapped in there songs!.!.!.But that still didnt class them as hip hop!. But then some would argue why is MJBlige !? Well she is still R&B but when she first came out which was the same time as TLC she had a majority of hip hop styled music on her album!. Most of the songs I've heard by them have an emphasis on Rhyming!. I know they don't all do!.
I guess the question is if an R&B track has a wack *** commercial rapper do a verse in it it's still R&B!.

Well i dont really consider them a hip hop group!.!.!.more like soul/r&b!. left eye was a rapper, she wasn't bad at all actually!. i loved her flow haha!. but nowadays, hip hop can be considered a lotta things!. im a fan of TLC but real talk, they weren't a rap groupWww@Enter-QA@Com
She's also one of those people that thinks there's a difference between rap music and hip hop music!. I guess she thinks they're hip hop under her definition, but I think she doesn't think they're rap (whatever that means)!. To everyone else they're R&B!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Naw I think they are R&B!. Just like Pretty Ricky!. They have 3 so called rappers and only 1 singer but everybody still considers them R&B!. So TLC ain't no different!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
