A question for guitar players and pros?!

Question: A question for guitar players and pros!?
I've been playing guitar for almost 3 years, and I only have the basic Squire Strat Pack (with the Squire Strat and basic Fender Amp)!. Eventually (maybe even soon) I want to upgrade (a lot), but I don't even know where to start!.

I know that there are so many sounds you can go for, but I don't know what to do!. I love hard rock and metal!. Randy Rhoads has by far had the most influence on me, and I like Jake E!. Lee's sound!. Other favorites are Yngwie Malmsteen, Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, and Slash (to name a few)!. As far as techniques I love using pinch harmonics and a lot of whammy bar action (I want a Floyd Rose)!. I want a guitar/amp that can handle that type of playing well, and performs up to today's standards!.

Where do I even start!? Are there companies or models that I should stick with!? Where's the best place to research on this!? Advice is appreciated :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
a few tips!. first, look up all those guitar players you said, what so they play!?
for the most part, ill say fender stratocaster is the most used and most versatile!.your squire is not a good representation of the strat!.it is hollow anf filled with foam, the hardware and all is very low cost, thats why they are cheap!. a good one is a mexican made strat, not quiet as good as the american but 450 dollars vs!.1000!.
as far as amp!. the mainthing to consider is do you want tube or solid state!.tubes tend to have a better tone but are more expensive!.solid state are fine and less expensive!.
but it will take a 100 watt solid state to get any where close to a 50 watt tube!.you will get ons of suggestins here but usualy, it is because people will suggest what THEY play, and that is not your question!.google all those players you mentioned, what do they play!? another thing to consider is effects,in most cases, youre not hearing just that guitar and that amp, there aare a lot of sounds comeing from effects and not the guitar amp alone!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Please be careful who you rely on for advice here!. My suggestion would be to visit your local Guitar Center!. Play any guitars in your price range !.!.!. amps too!. Find your own answer, and take your time!.

Be cautious with folks who can't even spell the models they are recommending!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Don't buy a "package" deal!.
Buy something better!. An IBANEZ may be what you are lookin' for!. They have lots of "Less-expensive' models, with Whammeys - and they are very good!. CHECK SOME OUT AT A MUSIC STORE !.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I would start with a Krank or Madison amp!. I love them!. Don't feel so down!. I have been playing for 4 years and I use a standard black and white Yamaha eg 112!. Your guitar is better!. Believe it or not!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you want the sound of Slash I would go with a Gibson Les Poul!. Gibson Les Poul's are kinda expensive but worth the money for the sound =) good luck picking out your new guitar!Www@Enter-QA@Com

epiphone les pauls (cheaper than gibsons)
stratacasters are great tooWww@Enter-QA@Com
