Question: I wanna play electric guitar but need to know one thing!.!.!.!?
after playing guitar hero for a few monthes i wanted to stop playing the game and pick up a real guitar!. I wanna play but I just need to know how long it takes before you get good enough to play really good!? It seems really hard!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It kinda depends on what kind of guitar player you want to be!. If you wanna play complex music like classical, jazz or even progressive rock and metal, lessons are definitely the way to go!. If you just want to be able to know some chords and put together simple songs with a few parts, having some knowledge helps, but won't make or break your ability to play and write!. If you don't think lessons are for you, I'd strongly advise getting some introductory pointers (so you have a rough idea what you're attempting to do) by way of beginning music books, magazine articles, or instructional websites!. You can find several excellent books for all skill levels at music stores (like Guitar Center, Sam Ash, etc!.), or book stores such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Borders that will teach you what you'll want to know at a pace you can set for yourself!. Most guitar magazines and guitar websites have lessons ranging from easy to complex, depending on your skill level and areas of musical interest as well!. I would recommend practicing for at least an hour at a time, at least every other day, if not every day, regardless of what kind of guitar player you'd like to be!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
ITS Easy but IT takes some time and practice maybe a month of real practice!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. First u need to learn your basic chords A B C D E F Am Em Bm then practice putting your fingers in the right places then just stum easy songs!.!.
then go to ultimate-guitar!.com to get some easy tabs and practice one song at a time!.!.!. if u are not familiar with tabs each number represents a fret thats where your finger needs to go and EADGBe(standard tuning) is the string that is played!. E is the BIG string at the top and the e is the small one at the bottom!.!. very simple to learn how to play a guitar just keep practicing!.!.!.

It varies from person to person!. My friend and I both start learning at the age of 13 and he took lessons while I taught myself!. After just a few months I was playing songs by Metallica, Guns N Roses, Soundgarden, ect!.!.!.while he was still struggling to learn chord progressions and scales!. I caught on to the guitar incredibly fast and was playing advanced solos after a year or two of playing while my friend developed at a much slower pace!.
It just depends on how quick of a learner you are and how much you practice!.!.!.and what you practice!.!.!.the guitar is not an easy instrument!.!.!.it takes time no matter who you are!.!.!.I practiced up to 8-10 hours a day when I first started learning!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Just start to play (find some basic chords) and practice, you can also experiment with your guitar, the more you play, the more it will be fun!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
