People are fed a steady stream of manufactured artists that do nothing but repeat a cycle of crap, mundane songs (this has been mathematically proven that there are only about 9 different basic song structures in pop music) over and over and over, decaying the minds of the masses, who generally are to stupid to think for themselves in the first place!.!.!. they just revel in a culture dominated by fat cats, chomping on whatever "IT" band comes along like whores!.!.!.
!.!.when they hear something like metal, their brain can't compute it, or it offends their sensibilities, or it turns them on, but they think it's naughty so they ignore it !.!.!. they never get the chance to see deeper into the music and realise, that metal is the home of talented muscians and forward thinking music!. The fact is that music is based on melody!. Im not saying that every song has to have lyrics that pour out your soul, but the music should be based around the melody!. Now, not all hardcore is like that!. You got to be specific, cause some have melody!. Avenged Sevenfold, perfect example!. they are harder but it is still substatial music!. Most of the death metal really has no means and no real purpose!. But you got to be a little more specific about what kind of hard core your tlking about!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The main intellectual argument against "hardcore" (in which I assume you mean metal) music even being music is that there often isn't any rhythm and rhyme to them, just banging!.!.!.
Specifically, people find it hard to place metal in its own music genre because it is, essentially, just louder rock music with illegible screaming and less of a band relationship!.!.!.It's more of a "Who can play the loudest!?" thing than a "Can we play this all together!?" thing!.!.!.

Because people don't know music anymore!. When people like Jonas Brothers, New Found Glory, and crappy emo bands who only song about breakups are being called better then The Beatles, Slipknot and Korn are being called gay, the world is just getting dumber!.

Well, when some people dislike a band or genre, they like to think that it's not music!. As far as I'm concerned, it is music!. Even music that I dislike is still music!.

Because they think that music must have a rhythm, beat, and melody that stay close to certain outlines!. But music can be SO much more than that!.
