Why are the Beatles so angry over mashups and remixes?!

Question: Why are the Beatles so angry over mashups and remixes!?
The Beatles were my introduction to rock and pretty much music in general!.!. At the age of 10, within a year of being introduced to them by my mother, I owned every album, movie, etc!. I could get ahold of!.

Recently I was given a few mash up records (vs!. the Beastie Boys and the grey album)!.!. This stuff made me get excited about their music all over again!.!. It made me appreciate their music so much more and made me think about it in different ways!.

This is a new way for future generations to discover timeless music!.!.

I can understand them being angry over people making money off this sort of thing, but most of these works are available for free download over the internet!.

Why are they freaking out!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Cause playing Robin hood is fun when you are a kid!. In reality
stealing is stealing, ownership is ownership!. To me, the re-mixes are putting a steak in the heart of Beatles music!. A little was o!.k!., but now the market is becoming saturated with subpar Beatles music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i reckon itd be like somebody giving your minor child a tattoo!.!.!.no matter how cool it looked you'd still be pissed

that's their work and alot of their heart and soul went into it and their probably angry because when they wrote and performed it!.!.!.thats how they wanted it to be!.

The problem is it's out of their control !. If they had some kind of creative veto , they'd be a lot happier !. After what was the Love album but a band approved Mash up ( very hi-tec though)!?!?!?

Love album here

i like the beatles too!. It could be that they have spent their lives on their music, and don't want people screwing around with their passions (music) and/or making money selling it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Possibly the beatles take pride in their music and hate to see it completely ruined by cheap remixes!. who are making money on the backs of othersWww@Enter-QA@Com

"Why are they freaking out!?"

What is your source!?

I have never read about the Beatles freaking out over remixes, tho I would be too, if someone ruined my hard work!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If someone just took your hard work & just "mashed it up" nearly beyond recognition, how would you feel!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

maybe they like their songs how they wrote them and dont think its cool for some zit faced putz to screw with their work!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm sure you've seen those various artist collections of 60's music on tv!. Have you ever noticed that the Beatles, who controlled the airways then, are conspicuously absent from those collections!? The four of them agreed long ago to not let the value of their art be cheapened by commercial interests, or to not let any third party alter their work!. That's one reason they formed Apple Corps!. It was to look after the publishing end of the business!. Prior to 1968, when Apple was formed, the Beatles songs were owned by their earlier publishing company, Northern Songs ltd!. Northern Songs held the rights to all the songs!. Fast forward to after John's death!. Paul is making "Pipes of Peace" with Michael Jackson!. Michael asks him for some investment ideas!. Paul tells him to explore music publishing, His MPL publications which holds the Buddy Holly catalogue has done quite well for him!. So Michael decides to start a bidding war between Paul/Yoko and himself for the rights to the songs held by Northern songs!. Michael Jackson wins!. Now you hear Beatles songs in movies, tv commercials, everywhere!. Just this year Paul, Ringo, Yoko and Olivia Harrison settled with Apple computer to put their songs online for legal download!. Finally!. So if you want to blame someone, blame Michael Jackson!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
