They are not called songs!. In classical music we use songs as a very specific art form!. The most famous song writer in classical music by far is Schubert!. If you mean pieces, generally the best considered piano writers are Bach, Handel and Scarlatti for the Baroque, Mozart, Clementi and Beethoven for the classical (Haydn is the other huge composer but he is not renowed for Piano), Beethoven, Chopin, Listz, and Brahms for the Romantic (not to mention Schuman, Schubert and quite a few others but those are the really huge ones for Piano and Beethoven is in both because I and everybody else has no idea where to put him), Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Shostakovich and way too many more to name for the twenith century!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
