Bands dont make that much money!. The label gives them money to record their album which they have to make back on album sales, if the album doesnt hit gold and/or they have more recording expenses (go over time, have to rerecord, or switch producers) they will not recoup that money!. That is what the tours are for, to try to make the rest of the money back on ticket sales, but tours have many costs associated with them as well!. The band only makes money if the record sales are higher than recording costs or the concert ticket sales are higher than the touring costs, plus they get paid to do promotions and stuff!. Many bands dont make much actual money, they just get the label to buy them music equipment and cars and it all kinda balances out!. Most bands just do it for the love of it and the perks rather than the money!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
