Question: Should i stop playing my violin!?
i play the violin and have been playing for 8 years i am 12 and in 7th grade!. i don't know how to read music and study the suzuki method! i dnt think i shud but i don't follow the method!. i dnt really enjoy my lessons either! but i like havin the gift! what should i do!!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

You'd only regret it in the future!. Just stick with it and start writing your own material and maybe find a band to join!. If you don't enjoy your lessons then maybe find a better teacher for you that makes the lessons more fun for you :) also maybe taking theory graded exams may help with the reading music :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

I've been playing for about 6 or 7 months now!. I can read sheet music, but I don't know the method either!.
Don't quit playing!.
If you don't enjoy your lessons, bring in some sheet music of songs you like, and see if your teacher will teach you how to read and play!. Or just quit lessons and try to learn to play songs on your own!. ^_^ There's plenty of sites that well help you learn how to read sheet music!. Try a google search!.

being musical can be rewarding, and its good to have some skills under your belt, whenever you might need them!. maybe, try taking a month long break, and then resume!. It might help!. if you really think its bad, then stop taking lessons!. its not wrong to stop doing something you don't like!. But don't just listen to others, ask yourself "is this worthwhile"!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
don't give up!. i wanted to play the violin, but i never had the chance so, go and continue to play!. i know it's hard (i had the same kind of problem before with my guitar), but once you get it, i know that you will be proud of yourself!. :)Www@Enter-QA@Com
