Hello Caveman!.

My favorites are;

All the honky tonk singers-Webb Pierce, Lefty Frizzell, Hank, Ray Price, Ernest Tubb, etc!.

The Bakersfield boys-Buck, Merle, Wynn Stewart, etc!.

Lots of early artists-Charlie Poole, Riley Puckett, Gid Tanner, Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, etc!.

Texas singer/songwriters-Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Robert Earl Keen, Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, etc!.

Bluegrass-Bill Monroe, Jim & Jesse, Jimmy Martin, Stanley Brothers, Del McCoury, James King, etc!.

A long list, but I have lots of favorites!

I consider myself more of a fan of the REAL country music but since I'm only in my mid 20's I'm not as famillar with ALL of the songs of the classics singer just some of the more famous ones!. !. My favorite period of country music was when I was growing up in the 80's 90's!. That music is still concidered real country especially compared to the stuff today but I'm not sure it qualifies as classic yet!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well you know that I love Kris, and the rest of those Highwaymen guys, Loretta, Patsy, Lynn Anderson, Tanya Tucker, Porter Wagoner, Dolly, Don Williams, Hank Snow, Hank Sr, Charley Pride, Charlie Rich, Dottie West, Kenny Rogers, Janie Fricke, Charley Mcclain (i know not really classic but I like her), Alabama, The Stats, The Oaks,!.
