Answers:
440Hz has been the international standard for several decades!. If you are going to play with other guitarists or digital synth players, or play along with records, you will be in tune with them!.
If you are going to play along with an instrument that cannot be easily retuned, e!.g!. real or electric piano, or antique brass instrument, then you had best tune to match it, which is where the non-standard settings come in!.
The make and gauge of strings make a lot more difference to the strain on the guitar than 2% change in the pitch, so don't worry about it!. If you play by yourself always, and it helps you sing the low notes, do it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

440 or (A-440) refers to the frequency of the "A" string if you were to play a harmonic on the 12th fret of the "A" string of your guitar!. It is the standard for tuning just about all instruments!. If you want to be sure that you are in tune with other instruments or most recordings (although a lot of blues guitarists tune down one half step, and some rock and metal guys go lower) then 440 is what you want!. If you tune to a higher frequency you are going to make each string a different (higher note) AND the tension on your strings will be tighter too!. Be careful! Too tight and you'll break the strings!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

ok!.!. you have to tighten the strings until they snap off and land in your eye!.!. then u go to the hospital!.!. and they do a kidney transplant!.!. then u go back home and eat a face!.!. seriously!.!.

Why don't you use a blower, listen and tune!.!.!.!.all manuel!
That is what I used to do, at this point, I don't need a tuner anymore!.!.!.!.!.!.it is all in the ol' noggin!Www@Enter-QA@Com

440 Hz is the most common tuning frequency, so I'd go with that!.
Tuning at the higher frequency will raise the pitch very slightly!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Get a pitch fork - tap it and hold the base against your guitar!. A lot cheaper and they don't need batteries!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

get a tuner

its like a little machine that tells you when its in tune
