Question: How come alot of people hate slipknot!?
alot of people hate them and i dont know why, i can see not liking them but i never thought so many would
i know they are considered nu metal or as many people say crap but why do you hate them and why do they suck to you

Hmmm!.!.!. two reasons!. Firstly, it's a matter of substance!. If you were to compare them to say Death, they fall very short in terms of musical ability and the actual weight, depth and construction of their music!. Nu Metal is a very flat and generic sub-genre of metal!.
Second, it's a matter of image!. They clearly sell themselves as something of a gimmick, what with the masks and all, and such things are marketable, which means more interest in shifting albums than making creative music!. The whole Nu Metal scene is watered down mass market version of what I might deem "Real Metal"!.
Of course there's an element of snobery in all that, but elitism seems to be the only way of maintaining high standards, so if we "hate" on Slipknot, it's just our way of distance between us and the "sheep" who are happy to listen to nothing more than what Kerrang! throws at them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think that the reason that people hate slipknot is because their fans (maggots) are idiots!. It is very difficult to carry on a conversation about metal with them because they are so closed minded!. If you ask any true slipknot fan, the greatest vocalist, drummer, and guitarist of all time make up the band!. I enjoy slipknots music and they were the first metal band I ever listened to!. People just hate them because their fans are whiney little kids that know nothing about true metal and they call themselves hardcore metalheads!. I dont know if that is the reason other people hate slipknot but that is a reason that I am somewhat reluctant to tell people I like slipknots music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Because what they call music is not really "music"!. The closest to metal that I'd ever listen to would probably be The Disturbed, Nightwish, and I've heard Apocalyptica being classified as "classical metal", and I love them!.

Because some people have heard bands that far exceed anything Slipknot is capable of!. It's like having a black and white television and thinking it's perfectly fine and awesome, until you see a color television and you realize how sucky the b&w one was!.

because they prance around in stupid masks and black jumpsuits and they just radiate negativity, and want to send hate through their music!.

It's not just Slipknot they hate---scores of today's music audiences simply have been let down by today's "alternative rock" because it simply doesn't have the kick that classic rock well more than carried!.
This explains why major record labels are once again seeking bands that capture that beloved mid-70s flair!.!.!.!.because the labels are seeing these "retro sound" bands are making $$$$$---because they're drawing rock music audiences in!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i like them too, but i have noticed that a lot of people hate them as well!. i'm not sure why!. probably the way they try to come off as scary with their costumes and such!. it also might be the suicidal lyrics, although a lot of bands write stuff like that!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
