Microphone Amp?!

Question: Microphone Amp!?
I have been playing music for about 5 years now!. Singer/Songwriter Acoustic Rythym Guitar!. Mostly just around the house with buddies drinking beer and such!. I bought some digital recording equipment a while back to further progress!. My amp is an acoustic amp 2 channeled!. I am happy with the sound it puts out guitar wise, but using the second channel for my mike makes the vocals sound dull!. Kind of like someone laid 15 blankets over my amp vocals wise!. My microphones aren't greatly expensive, just some 50$ ones I got from Guitar Center!. I plan on having quite the band and gigs to play here soon!. We are more southern rock/country style!. Should I go ahead and buy a halfway decent microphone amp, please list some if you know some, I am oblivious to anything amp wise!. Is it a PA system I need or should I just invest in new mikes!. I figure I will need something seperate to sing out of soon anyways!. Please help, let me know what I need to perchase to sound at least halfway decent vocalwise!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm not very loud and I'm a female lead singer of a rock band so I feel you!. Get the art studio tube MP from musician's friend!. Sometimes is your lucky you can find it one sale, the thing adds like 60 dec with a clear tone!.

A good Mic goes a long way, I buy Shure only!. They're a bit of an investment but not too much and worth it, they'll last for years!.

If you still have problems look into a compressor and gate!. This is when the money comes into play, but try getting a mic like a shure beta58, then the mic amp!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

will i have been working with live sound, concerts, and many other events for about five years!. i think getting a PA system might be the best!. here are two websites that may be of help and may be able to ask them!.!.!. http://allprosound!.com/catalog/index!.asp

Go to the websites of major manufacturers, and READ - you need to learn a LOT about amplification before you have Quite the Band, or a lot of gigs!. Shure has great stuff to read!. So does Mackie, and Yamaha!. I am sure that you know this stuff does not come cheap - you better REALLY know what you want, before you start spending!. Get yourself a decent mixer, and run your stuff thru THAT, before going to your amp and speakers, or powered amp!. You need to learn a lot about hi and lo impedance ( hiZ-loZ), and balanced and unbalanced lines!.

No matter how good a musician you are, you need to make a great impression with SOUND - otherwise, nobody listens - and you do not work!. I have been continuously working (teaching and performing classical music - often amplified) since 1971!. Nobody teaches yo this with a fancy conservatory education, either!. My son is getting his Masters degree in Digital Music - HE is my go-to-guy - most of the above info I got from him, because my fancy education did not provide it!Www@Enter-QA@Com
