Yes!. When I started playing cello I loved it!. Later, about a year after, I became bored and almost quit!. I stuck with it anyway and now I am extremely passionate about my music!. Instruments grow on you!. Almost everyone I know that started with some kind of instrument quit and became part of choir!. Music is a gift and if you're lucky enough to have that gift you should stick with it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree with the advice to stick with it for awhile longer!. Is it the violin you're tired of, or perhaps learning the progessively harder music (which is VERY normal)!? If you truly don't like the physical aspects of playing the violin, well, then, IMHO perhaps a change is in order, BUT if it's just the challenge of the repertoire, I vote for stick it out! You're probably just on the verge of discovering how truly musical you can be!. Best wishes!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Do you have a private teacher !? You should have a private teacher to learn the violin!. It is no good teaching yourself and school classes are not a good way to learn any instrument, let alone the violin!.

If you have a private teacher then perhaps it might be a good idea to discuss it with him/her!. If you do not have a private teacher than get one ; you will progress much faster!.

What are you bored with !? Is it the music or do you not like the instrument itself!. There is so much to learn about the violin and how to play it ; a good teacher would never let you get bored!.

A year is not a long time to really appreciate an instrument!. Please stick with it for another 12 months before making a decision!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well as a musician i think that you should play an instrument that you enjoy!. That is the key to success!. But also maybe you should stay with the violin to see if you start to like it and if u don't, then find another instrument to pursue!. :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes there will always be highs and lows at every point
but seriously do u practice much!?
if u have made attempts to practice, then keep working at it
if not, i suggest u stop!.!.!.
but eventually i know the work will pay off
success isn't instant
PRACTICE!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes!. I play cello and piano and with both I went through a period where i was bored and wanted to quit!. I stuck with it and now they are two of the most important things to me!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
