Hey!. "Imagine" is the only Beatle's song that truly makes me cry because it makes me think of John Lennon being so tragically killed by some raving lunatic!. What a terrible, horrible loss of a great person for the whole world! also, the message of his song is about hope and peace!. "There are people in the world so hungry, that God cannot appear to them except as bread!." - quote by Mahatma Gandhi!. "Without food, man can live at most but a few weeks; without it all other components of social justice are meaningless!." - quote by Norman Borlang!. "The real and lasting victories are those of peace, and not of war!." - quote by Ralph W!. Emerson!. I would hope that our new US President elected in November would know more about making love and peace than making war!. We SHOULD NOT be threatening Iran with obliteration for wanting to make nuclear weapons when America is making nuclear bombs and testing new weapons!. That is hypocritical!. There is a hunger crisis in the world right now if you listen to the news!.
Most of the Beatles songs are about love and are happy songs (I am all for silly love songs!.) so they do not make me cry but there is one more Beatles song that really, really gets to me!. And that one is George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" which makes me think of Jesus and heaven every time!. I do not know the background of this song nor of whom George was writing about but that song is extremely personal for me and touches my soul, and it also makes me cry!. also, I think of George's untimely death cut tragically short by a cancerous brain tumor!. How much pain George must have suffered! I also think about Linda McCartney dying of breast cancer, and Paul McCartney being by her side 'til the end and the song"Yesterday" which makes me feel a little sad!.
My favorite Beatles album of all time is "Abbey Road", and I am thinking about the song!.!.!. "I'll never do you no harm!." I wish it were true, and the people 'In My Life' were really like that so it makes me feel sad!. Happy is as happy does!. I am still sad about losing my friend Forrest Gump!. When I hear songs that remind me of a loved one, sometimes I cry for no reason!. Some of the songs that you have on your list are happy, fun loving songs so you must have taken them personally as well!. Hmm!.
