All flute players please help!?!

Question: All flute players please help!!?
How can you tell the difference between a A and an A flat!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
A and A flat are both on the second space from the bottom (or the first ledger line above the staff)!. Is this where you're getting confused!?

If you will be playing an A natural, the key signature (at the beginning of the piece) on the second space from the bottom will be blank!.

If you are playing A flat, there will be a flat sign on the second space from the bottom in the key signature!.

If you're playing a piece, and you come across an "accidental," there will be a flat sign or natural sign (or possibly even a sharp sign) in front of the note it applies to!. So if you come across an A in your piece that is usually played as A natural but suddenly has a flat sign in front of it, it will temporarily be an A flat (accidental markings only apply to a single measure!.)

A on flute will be fingered with thumb, and your index and middle fingers on your left hand and pinky on your right hand!. A flat will be fingered with thumb, index, middle, ring and pinky on your left hand and pinky on your right hand!.

If you were looking at it on a piano!. A natural would be on a white key and A flat would be on the black key just below it, since A flat is a "half-step" below A natural!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

an A is an a natural and an A flat is one step lower!. you can tell because an A sounds higher in pitch, and an A flat sounds lower in pitch!. the fingering is also different!. an a flat you use the pink on the key that sticks out like a hook in the middle of the flute!. google the fingering diagramWww@Enter-QA@Com

A has a lower pitch than A flatWww@Enter-QA@Com
